Our designers have been up all night working on deadlines for future collaboration projects.
We can’t leak any details, but once everything is finalized, you will be the first to know.
We’re just finalizing some of the contracts/shipments for our upcoming release. Here is a little preview of what is instore for 2010:
“With our efforts as a brand to continue to provide quality product, were taking a different approach in releasing new items. To slowly introduce our new design aesthetic, were going to be dropping 2 new designs bi-monthly which will be available exclusively on our online shop. Expect to see an abundance of collaboration projects with fellow brand names during this campaign as well. Although the norm is to release a full line of designs each season this is simply something different we are attempting to try where at the same time we can provide more quality control and re-connect with all of you supporters. This campaign will be in effect for most of 2010, up until we will then introduce a full season of thought provoking designs and quality and thought after cut & sew pieces. With the birth of our own art gallery, new office, we are blessed and humbled to still be around to continue to do what we love. Again we thank all of our supporters for sticking by us and we promise to bring new concepts to the table. Lets break bread.”
Our homegirl Fancy Nancy decided to drop into the gallery for a promo photoshoot.
Beat Swapmeet (LA) and Ek5obition got together with DeeJay Analog to produce his “Reprieve 45’s” mixtape.
With technology catching up and suprasing a lot of our needs today, DeeJay Analog decided to take it back and create an ALL 45’s Mixtape. No Serato, No effects machines, No midi controllers. Just pure 45 vinyl for your ear hole.

So yes, EK5OBITION has been in a little hiatus ever since we closed the the website for, what we thought to be, a “couple” of days. We all received emails with the definition of what a “COUPLE” means and thank you for the definition, but like we’ve always promised when we’re gone, there are a lot of projects that we are excited about. Espcially since the arrival of our very own, Dennis.
After a long hiatus, we at the EK5OBITION got one of the original members back. Welcome back Dennis! (don’t mind pudge in the background, he’s just excited about his new phone.)
He’s been in Alaska for northern lights, snow globes, and to help catch dreams… with dream-catchers, oh yea and also to scout out moose knuckles. Yes, you read the previous line correctly, moose knuckles or Alaska, I don’t know which you find more shocking. But we’re all glad to see him back in Cali and we officially went from 6 to midnight.
The main reason why we closed the site was to bring up the online store, but we also needed to work out a lot of the kinds within the website and us as a group. But yes, it will be up sooner than you expect.
See this is proof. But honestly, the product shots weren’t just for our online store, but something bigger than anything we expected. Then again that is something for another post.
